Heavy technical equipment

Batteries and solar panels to cabins

Heavy batteries and fragile panels need different handling. We plan carrying, securing and staffing before the equipment leaves the road.

Typical requirements

What the job may include

  • Cabin batteries and energy storage
  • Solar panels and mounting systems
  • Inverters, cables and technical materials
  • Supplier collection and coordinated delivery
  • Return transport of batteries and technical equipment

01

The heaviest item matters

A battery can be compact but very heavy. We need its exact weight, dimensions, handling requirements and whether it can be tilted. For demanding loads, two people may use a custom stretcher attached to carrying frames.

Solar panels are lighter but long and vulnerable to wind and impacts. We plan them as separate items, which may need a different route or more people.

02

Documented experience from DNT projects

On a job for a DNT cabin, we transported three batteries weighing 74 kg each and solar panels 2.5 kilometres along a farm track and trail. Two people carried the batteries using a custom system.

This example shows what is possible, but does not establish a general weight limit. Each job must be assessed for terrain, distance and safe handling.
