Transport and access assessment

When a job is unusual or access is uncertain, we can first assess the location and provide a specific basis for your decision before you book the work.

Norwegian mountain terrain where routes and access need assessment before a job

Typical requirements

What the job may include

  • Route, terrain, distance and elevation gain
  • Loading points, delivery points and possible setup areas
  • Splitting loads, item sizes and staffing requirements
  • Suitable transport methods and subcontractors
  • Possible permits and landowner permissions
  • Weather, risk, time requirements and cost estimates

01

A better basis for choosing a method

A map location alone does not always show whether a load can be carried, pulled, moved by water or lifted by an external operator. We bring together the available information and identify what still needs checking on site.

The assessment can be delivered separately to support your decision or form the first part of a ResupplyNorway quote.

02

From assessment to a working plan

We describe suitable methods, staffing, sequence, transfer points, key risks and what the customer needs to clarify before starting.

By separate agreement, the assessment cost may be deducted if ResupplyNorway is commissioned to carry out the work.

Next step

Need transport or practical help where cars cannot reach?

Send a map location, photos and what you know about the job. We will assess it and get back to you with suggested next steps.
